Biography

Dr. Dickson received her medical degree from Creighton University in 2002, completed her four-year residency at Creighton/UNMC in 2006, and entered into private practice that same year. She was Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2008. Dr. Dickson is a past-president of the Nebraska Psychiatry Society.

I guess they stopped taking my insurance (or never did?) but they failed to tell me until nearly a year after my insurance changed, and will no longer file claims on my behalf. Sherri the finance manager was extremely rude in explaining this and even though I have not ever been notified of a bill snappily asked "So, you are going to pay me then?" after asking for assistance with the paperwork to file for myself. Anyway, if part of the reason you feel like you need therapy is because life feels like an endless slog of bureaucratic nonsense with a sprinkling of rudeness mixed in, this is definitely not the place to go. The administrative team will absolutely undo any progress you might make here with their bad attitude and disorganization, not to mention, they never answer the phone so one simple call inevitably turns into 4. Dr Dickson took it upon herself to dismiss me after this because she "can't have the tension with the administrative staff". LOL Let's be real, your administrative staff has "tensions" with plenty of people, so maybe they are the problem. Look at your practice reviews at Psychiatric Services, P.C., they say it all. Also, I notice a pattern in the reviews that she seems to discriminate against cash pay patients.

I have been with Dr Dickson since 2018/2019. She has managed my meds through 2 pregnancies, a miscarriage, a marriage etc. she is very kind, understanding, and does not push medication. I have stayed with her despite changing insurance that they do not accept

Dr. Dixon is kind, professional and very knowledgeable about life and life experiences with those who have been struggling with chronic mental illness and the related struggles we face each day. I have had many psychiatrists in my lifetime, and she has been the most helpful for me during my treatment, medchecks and the general care and the wellbeing she promotes. That is why I clicked 5 stars!

Julie Dickson is such a good Doctor. I’ve been seeing her for over a year now and refuse to see anyone else! My insurance is not in network with her so I pay out of pocket to see her because I like her so much!!

DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH THIS DR I WAITED MONTHS TO GET IN AND THEY DIDNY HAVE ME ON THE SCHEDULE DESPITE MULTIPLE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THE DATE. For a psychologist office to turn away a person in tears bc this appointment is obviously that crucial to their mental health goes against what their sole function is. This is the first of many reviews I plan to leave on whatever platform I can find.

I am a veteran. I saw Dr. Dixon at the VA for 6 years before moving to CA. Hands down she was and is best Dr. I ever had the pleasure of seeing. She truly cares, helps, & no judgement. She has true empathy for her patients. I just moved back to Omaha and I heard she's private practice! Dr. Dixon I'm back! I will be hoping to see you!
